The Creativity Shell, founded by Shelancia Daniel, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using creative arts education to teach life skills, promote mental health, and inspire the next generation of makers. For the past 10 years, the organization has proudly served thousands of children through sewing, cooking, art, and STEAM-based programs in schools, libraries, shelters, juvenile justice facilities, and its own creative studios.

The Creativity Shell is now expanding its national reach through the launch of the #SEWNEXTGEN program, an initiative designed to equip sewing shops and educators across the world with the tools they need to teach children how to sew. Together, we are preserving the art of sewing and empowering the next generation with creativity, confidence, and purpose.

The Creativity Shell is excited to invite partners from around the world to join the #SEWNEXTGEN movement and help inspire the next generation of makers! As a #SEWNEXTGEN partner, your shop, store, library, school, district, or program will gain access to exclusive patterns, workshops, programs, and designs created especially for children. Each resource is tailored to nurture creativity, build confidence, and empower young sewists as they grow into the next generation of makers

  • Each week we will post new content, follow up with dealers and give a much knowledge and information as possible.

  • Out goal is to build a thriving community of Bernina dealers who can help educate and inspire the next generation of makers.

  • The Creativity Shell is an industry alliance partner with BERNINA USA and the BERNINA Kids program was launched to help BERNINA dealers take a lead role in educating and inspiring the next generation of makers. To make this program accessible to all, we encourage you go join our movement!

  • The BERNINA Kids website does not sell sewing machines but we are more than happy to connect you with a local dealer in your area.

  • As a BERNINAdealer, you can choose the tier of sponsorship you want! From now until September 30, 2025 you can receive all the benefits of a Creativity Advocate for $500/Year! ($2500 Value)

  • The BERNINA Kids program is also working with local schools and places that can host children’s workshops. If you don’t want to teach children directly, you can still assist by selling and servicing machines.
